3 Mistakes To Avoid When Choosing An AC Company (Part 1 of 3)
We understand the importance of your AC operating properly, especially in tropical SW Florida. Sadly, when your AC is out, this sense of urgency to find a resolution can lure you in to making a snap decision.
However, this can – and usually does – come back to haunt you. To help you make a solid decision, we have compiled 3 mistakes to avoid when choosing an AC company. Part 1 of 3 is below.
#1. Avoid Getting An Estimate Over The Phone
There are many factors to take in account before providing an accurate estimate and recommending the proper equipment.
Below are just a few points an expert technician will consider:
- Is your duct work in good shape and sized correctly for your new equipment?
- Where is your AC located, and will the new air handler fit?
- Is the current size of your AC accurate?
- What’s the best value for maximum efficiency and your budget?
Be a Smarter and Wiser Consumer
There are dozens of factors a trained technician will review to ensure you have an accurate estimate that is customized to your situation.
Also, expect them to perform a “load calculation” to determine the correct size of your new air conditioner.
The last thing you want to do is have your AC installed, only to find it wasn’t completed correctly. Furthermore, you may find yourself paying twice as much to have it corrected.
At Sunset Air we are committed to doing our due diligence so we can recommend the proper AC Unit(s), and provide you an accurate dollar figure, so the job gets done right the first time.
TIP – Always obtain an AC estimate in person by a reputable, licensed and insured company. Sometimes an AC Repair may be all that is necessary.
