We decided to replace our 12-year old system during the winter rather than waiting for it to break down on a hot summer day. We got estimates from three different companies for, essentially, the same amount of work and modification to our existing system. Sunset Air and Home Services was not the least expensive, however Ryan presented himself so professionally and friendly that both my wife and I decided to have Sunset Air do the replacement. Another deciding factor was the complete information that Ryan provided and the number of options that he gave us.
AC Installation Day
On the scheduled day, Marshall, and Mark, showed up a few minutes early and immediately got to work in the garage. Several hours later, the indoor work was completed and it was time to replace the compressor. It had been raining profusely the entire day and the ground was soft and muddy. I’m not sure how they did it, but they were able to get the compressor moved on their hand truck and set in place. (The hand truck did sink into the ground a couple of times but they, magically, still got it moved.) Once the job was completed, they left the garage spotless.
A week later, I had Sunset Air come out to check my pool heater. Once the technician was done, he said he wanted to re-check the new A/C system to make sure it was operating properly. He made a couple of adjustments, and told us that Ryan had asked him to check the system since he was there anyway. The only charge was the service call for the pool heater.
Sunset Air did a great job at a reasonable price, and I would not hesitate to call them in the future.
